History of Zhineng Qigong
Zhineng Qigong was developed in the 1980s by Professor Dr. Pang Ming, who integrated traditional Chinese Qigong knowledge with modern medicine, philosophy, and science.
Dr. Pang Ming established the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Center in China — often referred to as the world's first "medicine-less hospital" — where thousands of people came to study and practice. The center became renowned for its large-scale Qigong training methods and its focus on collective practice, personal transformation, and holistic health.
Trained in both Western and Chinese medicine, Dr. Pang Ming dedicated his life to researching the relationship between consciousness, Qi, and human wellbeing. His work laid the foundation for what would become one of the most widely practiced Qigong systems in the world.
Today, teachers such as Master Yuantong Liu — who trained directly under Dr. Pang Ming at the Hua Xia Center for 10 years — continue to share and preserve these teachings, helping students around the world deepen their understanding and practice of Zhineng Qigong.
